My boss says Friday is my last day. I've worked here three years. Is that enough notice?

Probably not. Under section 22(3)(c) of the Employment Act, three years' service means at least 2 weeks' written notice. Your contract's notice period applies first (s 22(2)), and the Act's minimum applies only if the contract is silent. Notice given today would end about 14 October, not this Friday, unless you agreed to waive notice (s 22(4)). This may not cover misconduct dismissals (s 23). Check your contract and consider contacting the Labour Commissioner.
